Walk through each step as a scene in your mind. The more sensory detail you add—what the room looks like, what materials are on the table—the more retrieval cues you create.

Spaced Repetition: The Schedule That Defeats Forgetting

Spaced repetition is arguably the most well-supported memory technique in the scientific literature. The principle is straightforward: you review material at increasing intervals over time, revisiting it just before you would naturally forget it. This process forces your brain to actively reconstruct the memory each time, which strengthens the neural pathways associated with that information.

For RBT exam preparation, this means structuring your study calendar so that you are not covering each domain once and moving on. Introduce new material in focused sessions, then return to previously covered content at scheduled intervals—three days later, then a week later, then two weeks later.
